Nothing is free

Why do people think that publishing one’s life on a stranger’s website guarantees them all the rights that publishing content on their own site would give them?

The fact that facebook and others like this platform, give away supposedly free platforms, is so that they can leverage and commercially exploit peoples intellectual property for their commercial gain.

So if one is not paying for something, don’t expect the one who is offering you something for free, to not take advantage of the things that you share with him willingly. I think if one is so concerned about privacy etc, don’t put your life on the Internet for the world to see.
